Worked well for like 5 years. Then probably 3 years, Panasonic was like, screw, the Vieras are old and we don’t care about supporting our old TVs anymore. Lame.

This is a very frustrating app to use because it partly works and partly does not.

I have to use a third party app because this app no longer works with my TV. It worked fine until it was changed to version 2.

The app is alright, but I prefer the version 3 because of the haptic feedback and a simple scroll up and down for more remote keys/buttons

The app never came back to connect with tv.

I’ve double checked the networks. Nothing has changed, except now the app does not identify the tv despite being on the same network. I decided to download TV remote 3. It works ok but does not allow you to utilize the menus or dozens of other options this version did when it was working.

it’s a great app. Used to work flawlessly. Now? Not so much. Generally caught in a cycle of starting and restarting deleting and reinstalling the app just to get it to work or even to recognize that it’s online. So where this app used to open and immediately connect to the TV so I can do my thing, now I have to take seconds or up to a minute just to get it to function properly. No bueno for an app which for me, up until now, used to work without issue.

The app used to work fine but has stopped working. Like other recent reviews, it finds the TV but does not connect to it.

Panasonic, this app needs updating! This used to work fine up until somewhat recently. Now, it won’t connect to my tv at all.

It stopped working. It won’t detect the television.

Works great! I have never had any problem and it’s easy to use and set up

Hey Panasonic, did you not bother to QC your app software during the SDLC update for iOS 14? Didn’t think so.

Tried to show my family some pictures and videos on tv, but this app did not work. It’s able to detect our Viera E60, but does not upload my videos or pictures. I get an error. So now I will delete this app.

Please update the app, so many functions not working. I have LG app and it’s perfect.

It used to work real well but it seems to have lost my TV. I have a Viero 5e and when I start the app it locates the TV again and when I press on the correct model it just ignores the selection and does nothing. Panasonic does not appear to support their products very well, I haven’t seen an update for many years. 1 star is generous, the TV hasn’t been very smart, but I will be the next one I buy.

No matter what it tells me TV not found. You’d think a Viera tv with an internet connection on the same network would work... but then you wouldn’t have bought a Panasonic Viera TV. Simply doesn’t work.

I thought this app would would work great But IT DIDN'T. The app always crashes and disconnects ALL THE TIME😡🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😕 Right about when I chose a show crashes or disconnects! Please fix this!!!!!!!

This app used to work great a year ago but it stopped steaming videos from my iphone to tv. It still show photos from my phone and the remote works. Please fix this Panasonic. Could be great.

Annoyingly we used to be able to control out Panasonic tv. Then to get better movies playback we connected the TV directly to the router via Ethernet... and since it’s no longer using the Wi-Fi dingle, control doesn’t work. It would have cost what, $0.50 in a Wi-Fi chip to make this possible? Lame.

Guys ever since the last update it won’t disconnect from a $6.000 ZT65 Plasma TV ! Please Fix It !!!!

Other than that it is a handy app. I hope this gets fixed as I don’t want to buy an ir blaster. Edit: I believe you have to turn on “wake on lan” support in the network settings. Also “remote app” A little buggy (lag or you have to re-find your device frequently) and more documentation would make this 5 star.

Downloaded this app to control our old panasonic tv but this app seem to only tor smart tv’s . In that case ill expect developers to smartly write it in the description of the app sayings “exclusively for SMART TV’s” and old traditional tvs should not expect to work !!

Never work for me. TV is connected to Ethernet cable iPhone is on wireless connection to router. Still can't see me Panasonic TV.

We have two TVs just different sizes. This app won’t work with either tv. We tried both also with iPhone and Android. No go.

What happened?!

I swear this used to work with my ST50. Now it doesn’t. Can’t find the TV on my network. Latest OS for my iPhone, latest software for the TV. Verified they are on the correct network. Restarting the phone did not help, deleting/reinstalling the app did not help.

Before the last up date I could swipe the music to my tv now it shows up but doesn’t play the music and go’s back to the previous screen, something to do with the update affected it.

While the keyboard doesn’t work, everything else I’ve tried does.

I've had my ZT65 ( a 5000 TV at the time) for 5 years now, since this app came out over 4 years ago its never been able to turn the TV on, how lame is that? After 20 updates they can turn it off but they cant figure out how to turn it on....LAME!!! Deserves a 0 star.

This app does not work when the tv is wired cat 5. The message that I get states that the tv must be on the same “wireless network”. Why not the same network?

Works fine every time you delete and reload and setup! Not recommended! Poor app!

I know this app has other features, but I mostly use it as a replacement for the missing remote.

This app works PERFECT (so far)! Granted, I have only had it for an hour or a little longer, however I felt compelled to write this review because it seems to be working so perfectly - easy and smooth. After installing and opening, my Panasonic TV connected with this app in less than 10 seconds - literally! What little I know so far is that it controls the Power, Volume w/ Mute, and Channels w/ Input. It also features the Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow Buttons along with Viera Connect Tools. You are able to operate all of the above with a keyboard or TouchPad (so far...I prefer the TouchPad myself). I will come back to “update” my Review - good or bad - after having used the app for about a week.

My soundbar sits in the way of the IR recovers so this app is good for controlling my TV set. Wish you could power TV on. Not sure about negative reviews mine has never disconnected from network. Not the most intuitive app but gets the job done.

Keyboard didn’t work.

APP WORK GREAT WITH PAIRED 55" MODEL!!

It worked very good for a long time and all of a sudden it did not detect the tv, internet is working as it should, same network, nothing has changed from earlier this morning to now, I was happy until now, very disappointed...

Few years age I downloaded this app and it never failed to work well. The more it gets updated the crazier it gets. I have to delete it and reinstall after a few times of use will not connect to TV.

Disconnects from tv too often. NOT ABLE TO POWER TV ON AND OFF as in the earliest version. YOU DEVELOPERS NEED TO DEDICATE MORE TIME TO MAKING THINGS ACTUALLY WORK INSTEAD OF MAKING CHANGES THAT DO NOTHING. Very displeased and not satisfied with the operation of this app. Don't buy Panasonic stuff anymore!!!!

Clicking on the device(Panasonic TV) does nothing. Stuck at home screen.

Used to work. Updated to new version, now it's broken. Way to go Panasonic

Title says it all... Requires LAN connection to set up but I don't want to get up off the couch... Should be able to detect via wifi

Now fix this damned app!!!! So sick of you devs just quitting support because it's not the newest device your selling! I'll never buy another tv of yours again unless this is fixed! Both tv and phone are on the same wifi network and your crap doesn't work!!!

Not sure when it stopped working reliably but no longer useful. Frequently fails to connect to the tv even though it identifies the tv. Selecting the detected tv does nothing.

It worked great for a few weeks but now when I try to use it I see a red X in the top right corner of my phone like it's not connected to the tv. So I delete the app and reinstall it and it's frustrating. It needs an update.

Used to work great. Was cool to use because my phone is always in my hand. It couldn't turn the tv on because the tv isn't on the network when its off of course, but it could turn it off and do everything else I needed. Unfortunately it just doesn't work at all anymore. My tv and phone are on the same network but the app always says no tv available. Too bad. Hopefully bad reviews will get us a fix.
